Summary basic Netbackup (start/stop/concept/license/Basic configuration)

Stop   /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/bp.kill_all
Start  /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/netbackup

Stucture (command access lan,all media server sea robot)
-Master/media (Master server control robot,share drive ,and command access lan,data access lan to tape)
  - 1 master with media (and client)
  - 1 client

NBU(net backup unix)=1.Netbackup(policy,job,client,connect media manager) 2.Media manager(allcate tape (no disk) run on media server)
-backup server=Master server

-client use backup immediatialy myself (file--> backup archive, and restore / jnbSA for unix)
-client use master server will be confige it.
-script run on client machine
-create polycy from server
-server service media,disk for client
-STU (storage unit)= disk or tape on media server
-Concurrent following number of tape (disk not need)
Config storage device
1.OS config drive and robot
-Don't use SMC0 (changer on os aix) but make device OVPASS0 substance
2.Scan robot and device drive on Net backup java
- if add new drive will be add in robot on same STU
3.Add device drive and robot to STU and finish

if old version netbackup lto2 will be backup lto3 but config lto2
if old lto2 tape but drive is lto3 will be config lto3
Config policy(Config backup)- Server Initiate (server control backup schedual)

  Standard = backup file system
  Oracle,SAP => activate license on master and install agent on client

Add Schedule
-Attribute
     Server Inittate=full backup,differential,cumulative incremental backup
        Diff => start from each diff
        Cum => start from full backup
     User=User backup,user archive(delete original file)
  Schedule type:calendar or Frequency (4 days=every 4 day)
retention time:data on tape time date(full > incremental time)
override policy (special case overwrite on polycy
allow multiple data stream(Multistream is multiple drive split task)

-Schedules
  Start Window (must be set accept time when start time)
    Allow time for backup
  Exclude Dates (except time)

  Media id=name or barcode
  Media type=type of tape(lto2,lto3)

  Robot Number=0,1,2(tape depend on Robot number is same type)
  -volume pools
    pool name
     premit only specified host=host on media server
    scratch pool (is spare for prevent full pool) scratch pool will expire on time and share
  - add new volumes
      media type
    volume on robotic library
    media id,slot number
    volume pool
  - inventory is for netbackup know tape from robot
  - inventory for barcode have barcode rule in advance option for add pool and media type
  - move device tape to volume manual
  - label is format tape
     from command(/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bplabel -m test01 -d hcart2 -p DAILY)
     -m=mediaid,-d=typedisk,-p pool
     from gui (if new tape not problem)
