1 insert HP-UX 11i DVD into drive and power on the system.
2 During boot process select EFI Shell option and press enter
3 Type edd30 off at the prompt
4 Look at the list of devices (displayed as fs0:, fs1, etc) and identify the DVD-rom device
example
fs0 : Acpi (PNP0A03,0) Pci (2|0) /Ata (Primary,Master) /CDROM (Entry0)
5 Type the device name at the prompt
Shell>fs0:
6 Type install to start the HPUX Boot loader.
fs0:>install
7 Select install HP-UX option
8 Select the guided installation option
9 This will start the HP-UX wizard. Accept the default option
10 Select system environment.
11 Select the root disk SCSI 0 for installation of HP-UX
12 Refer to the HP-UX 11.i installation instructions to complete the installation.
